Whispers of forever: An intimate vow renewal at Pilgrim Corner, Exmoor
Some love stories are too meaningful to celebrate just once.
Whether it's been five years or 50 since you first said “I do,” a vow renewal is a beautiful way to honour your journey together — especially when it's done in a space that feels like home, surrounded by nature, and full of heart.
At My Tiny Exmoor Wedding, we transform our charming Tudor thatched cottage, Pilgrim Corner, into your personal, private wedding space — a place where you can pause, reconnect, and renew your vows in a way that feels deeply you.
Why renew your vows?
There’s no rulebook — only your reason to renew your vows. And we have lots of ideas to help you make it happen. Maybe your original wedding day was big, traditional, or not quite what you dreamed. Maybe you’ve come through something life-changing, and you want to celebrate how far you’ve come. Or perhaps you want to stand together again, quietly and intentionally, and say: I still choose you. A vow renewal is about marking the moments that matter — not for show, but for the soul.
Tiny, personal, and full of meaning
Unlike a formal venue, Pilgrim Corner offers something far more personal: the comfort of a real home, the warmth of heritage and charm, and the flexibility to shape your day exactly how you imagine it.
You might bring a few close loved ones — or keep it beautifully simple with just the two of you. Either way, your ceremony can unfold in a space that’s entirely yours:
· Say your vows in the garden to the sound of birdsong
· Celebrate with champagne by the wood-burning stove
· End the day in a hot tub under the stars.
You don’t need a crowd. Just a connection.
Why Exmoor? Why here?
Tucked in the historic heart of Minehead, Pilgrim Corner is surrounded by the natural beauty of Exmoor — wild moorland, secret woodland walks, and dramatic coastal views are all just minutes away. It means your vow renewal can stretch beyond the cottage: A walk on the moors, hand-in-hand. A clifftop photo at sunset. A quiet picnic overlooking the sea. Then return to your cottage, light the fire, and savour the feeling of it all — without ever having to leave your little slice of Exmoor heaven.
How to make It personal
Your vow renewal can be as relaxed or romantic as you want it to be. Here are a few ways past couples have made it their own:
· Write fresh vows — or reread your original ones, with a few updates from the heart.
· Dress up or dress down — wedding outfits, walking boots, or something new.
· Include special touches — a meaningful reading, a candle-lighting moment, or a tiny wedding cake to cut together.
· Create a weekend experience — with both of you (and your guests, if you have them) staying across our cottages, making it a complete celebration in comfort and privacy.
We can help connect you with our celebrant, photographer, or local suppliers — and give you the space and time to make it feel effortless and significant.
Your private celebration space
We’re not a wedding venue in the traditional sense. Instead, we offer something rare: An at-home feel with space to breathe. You’ll have Pilgrim Corner all to yourselves for your ceremony,
with the option of booking our neighbouring cottages for family or close friends. There’s no rush, no rigid schedule — just time to celebrate your love, your way.
